Perhaps I should not find this amusing, but this great CNN article talks about the dark sense of humor people acquire while down here.
I find it Hilarious that when I finally get out of Iraq in a couple of weeks I am slated to stay in London for a night or two. What a mess up there. At lease I will have already been acclimated to that anxious feeling that something could happen at any time.…

Good times, man, sorry you missed it. Those IEDs just don't have the charm of weirdos with exploding rucksacks, I gotta tell ya.
I'm flying out the morning of 3 August, so I'll just miss you here. That's a damn shame.

Too bad I will miss you, maybe you should go ahead and just swing by here on your way out. We could grill up some steaks over the burning trash piles and drink some near beer. Good times... good times...
