Dust STORM !

Today was insane with dust; I got a few good shots of it. Unfortunately it was not the cinimatic wall of dust that I was hoping for, but there was practically zero visibility and a mars like red glow all day.

Below is the sign placed by captain obvious.

My gear to blend in and keep dust out of the orifices

I guess that hummer camo actually does work

I am counting down the days until I am out of here. Perhaps if I was able to visit the mountains in the North I would have a better opinion of this place, but for now I see it as a hot (120 degrees this week), dusty smelly shit hole, and it is no wonder that there are so many pissed off people here. I think that we could end this whole thing if we just send these people somewhere nice for a week or 2.

Note: I am purposely staying away from topics related to the situation at hand here in Iraq. I have definitely seen enough to strengthen some of my views and change others, but I do not feel it appropriate to post those opinions while I am still working down here with the Army. I will save my opinions for conversations to be had after my return.
