Dust!

The last few days have been very windy and the air has constantly been filled with dust. It is definitely dust and not sand. This stuff has been pounded by the wind and sun to a point where it is now a chalk/dust like substance that is just omnipresent. I have heard that during the when it does actually rain it turns into mud before it hits you, so it essentially rains mud.

The sat link has been affected by the dust, so I have not been able to get on when I have time. The days are VERY long here, so if there is no uplink during my short window of down time I can not get online at all….. Apparently there are no weekends or holidays in a sudo-war-zone.

I am yet to experience the stereotypical dust storm. I have seen them in videos and they look like something that Lucas Arts would produce (a giant wall of dust moving slowly towards you), I have an airtight container for my camera, so hopefully I can get some cool shots if I get caught in one.

I have a few pics of the current conditions that I will hopefully get up later tonight.
